Cert Description
Richmond County EMA will begin the first of several training classes for the CERT Program on April 27, 2004. Our hopes to train citizens in all areas and zip codes throught the Augusta-Richmond County are to better prepare and assist in the time of disasters, whether manmade or natural. To increase public awareness that knowing what to do and how to handle an emergency is the key to surviving when emergency agencies are at a stressed level. Our objective after this point will be to keep the interest and activity of the citizens that have invested time and gained special training in this program to keep them active and let others benfit from their knowledge and skills.
