| Cert Description |
| Cobb County's CERT Program trains volunteer Cobb County citizens, business employees that work within Cobb County, and the Cobb County Faith Community. The volunteers are provided introductory training in emergency preparedness. The volunteers are also taught basic procedures to take if there were a man-made or natural disaster in their neightborhood, on the job, or at their house of worship. This training will help the volunteer to be more prepared and to be more capable to help themselves, their families, their neighbors, and their co-workers in the event of an emergency situation. Additionally, these citizens can also provide assistance if public safety was overwhelmed due to the magnitude of the disaster. |
