Cert Description
The purpose to establish and maintain a CERT program that promotes citizen involvement in emergency preparedness that can augment the services of the professional emergency responder during local disasters and emergencies. The Monroe County Citizen Corp is a partner. The goal is to assist local citizens prepare for disasters through education and training while developing life safety skills for use individually and in a team concept. The program is run under the Monroe County Emergency Management.
