Cert Description
The Spokane Valley Fire Department utilizes the national CERT curriculum. Our program trains citizens in the boundaries of the fire department covering the cities of Spokane Valley, Liberty Lake, Millwood and an unincorporated area. The program has 2 initial 7 week classes a year, one in the spring and one in the fall. Along with 6 continuing education training nights, 3 in the spring and 3 in the fall with a 1/2 day scenario based drill in May. Volunteers come from established community groups to individuals requesting training, including special needs individuals.
