Cert Description
The Garden State Parkway Division CERT program is divided into three sections; South, Central and North. The South team completed training in December of 2004. Central team training is set to begin in March of 2005 with the North team to be formed during late Spring 2005. The goal of the Parkway CERT team is to provide additional assistance to our State Police in the event of a catastrophic emergency. Additional training and participation in local Emergency Management drills are part of the continuing training offered to the Parkway division CERT members. Once employees have successfully completed CERT training, they are encouraged to volunteer in their local CERT programs.
