Cert Description
The Ramsey Office of Emergency Management is committed to recruiting, training, equipping and most importantly, retaining citizens interested in serving their community through the CERT program. After an initial orientation, team members are encouraged to complete additional courses at the Bergen County Law and Public Safety Institute. CERT members responded and assisted in the Blackout of August 14, and the standby for Tropical Storm Isabel. Their assistance was greatly appreciated! A CERT trainee is currently at the Bergen County PD/OEM CERT course and has been asked to assist in teaching the Police Auxiliary curriculum, in the Spring of 2004. Two recruits have been enrolled in the next CERT course.
