New Filtering Unit Being Tested for Water-starved Regions

water-filtering systemA team of undergraduates is assessing a new water filtration technlogy based on innovations pioneered at New Mexico Tech  University.  The National Science Foundation-funded New Mexico-Chihuahua Partnership for Innovation study engages students from New Mexico Tech, New Mexico State University and three universities in Mexico, to evaluate the feasibility of the technology which uses gravity to efficiently draw water through cutting-edge filter materials.  Full story
