Exporter's
Matrix: Handbook for U.S. Agribusinesses lists
essential export programs and contact phone numbers in
USDA, the U.S. Department of Commerce and state regional
trade associations.
"How-to" guides for export are available from the Small Business
Administration and from the Department of
Commerce.
The Department of
Commerce International Trade Administration has many services for exporters, notably the
Commercial Service with offices locally and abroad
that provide counseling, advocacy and market information, and the Trade Information Center providing information
on federal export assistance.
The Small Business
Administration Office of International Trade also provides assistance to small farmers and
other businesses engaged in agricultural export.
The FAS also cooperates with industry and trade associations to
promote US products abroad. These associations have both domestic and international offices to help
you.
