What is Really Simple Syndication (RSS)?
RSS feeds are free content feeds from websites, such as pueblo.gsa.gov and usa.gov that contain headlines, summaries and links back to full-text information.

What Is RSS?

In an age when email in-boxes are becoming increasingly full of spam and other unwanted mail, RSS feeds are great ways to stay informed. RSS (or Really Simple Syndication) feeds are free content feeds from websites, such as pueblo.gsa.gov and USA.gov that contain headlines, summaries and links back to full-text information. RSS readers make surfing the web easier, quicker, and you can subscribe to feeds from more sites than you would have time to visit regularly.

How To Get Started

To start using RSS, you need a special news reader that displays RSS content feeds from websites you select. Most are available as free desktop software that you download, and install on your computer. Follow our easy instructions:

1. Download an RSS Reader.
2. If you need instructions for how to use the reader, refer to its tutorial.
3. Copy the URL/links above that interest you.
4. Paste the URLs into your reader.
5. Once you've subscribed to our RSS feeds, new content will be delivered directly to your RSS reader. It will show items as unread in much the same way as most email programs.
6. Just open your reader and click on items of interest. We will update our feeds between one and three times a week.
