Standing as ancient sentinels high atop the White Mountains of the Inyo National Forest, the Great Basin Bristlecone Pines rank as the oldest trees in the world and have achieved immense scientific, cultural and scenic importance.

Permitted businesses offer services to the public on Forest lands across the Inyo National Forest, including lodging, housekeeping facilities, alternate camping options, restaurants, boat rentals, RV sites and much more.

SPECIAL USE AUTHORIZATIONS
Provide use of, and access to, National Forest System lands for a wide variety of activities to both commercial and noncommercial operations. Permits are also issued for private, non-exclusive use. Depending on the complexity of the proposal, obtaining a Special Use Authorization can sometimes be a lengthy process.
