CITIZEN SERVICE AWARD: Earlier this year, the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), Office of Citizen Services, USA Services, announced a competition for their First Annual Citizen Service Award. The award highlights excellent customer service accomplishments in the Federal Government. Technology Services' National Center for Standards and Certification Information (NCSCI) applied for the award and was rated 4th among the field of 16 applicants from agencies across the government. NCSCI's fourth place ranking in this competition is a tremendous accomplishment, since the Center was competing against much larger programs in terms of scope, resources, and public constituencies. USA Services will release a case study on citizen services showcasing the top providers of Federal customer service excellence.
