SENIOR INTERNATIONAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM:

Purpose of Study: To provide established scientists with opportunities to conduct collaborative research at foreign institutions.

COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH AT UNDERGRADUATE INSTITUTIONS PROGRAM:

SENIOR SCIENTIST VISITING PROGRAMME:

Fields of Study: Sciences including agriculture, veterinary medicine, environment and development.
Purpose of Study: To strengthen Norwegian research institutes and promote contact between foreign scientists and Norwegian researchers.
Eligibility: Open to well-established and internationally recognized scientists, who are at the professional or equivalent level. Applications must be filed by a Norwegian institute.
Financial Provisions: NOK25,000 per month for the first 2 months, NOK10,000 per month thereafter. Travelling expenses may also be defrayed.

Fields of Study: Innovative research ideas in the natural sciences and engineering that aim to solve serious development problems, defined as those that limit the quality of life. Basic research is not funded.
Purpose of Study: Help scientists from "Target Countries" (varies annually -- contact USAID) to obtain Israeli technology and to collaborate with Israeli researchers.
Eligibility: Each proposal must include at least one citizen of Israel and one citizen of a host republic as principle investigators. U.S. scientists may participate in tri-lateral projects.
Financial Provisions: Should not exceed $200,000.
