Public Accommodations Discrimination

Your rights to public accommodations are protected by federal and state laws and the Albuquerque Human Rights Ordinance. You may not be denied goods, services or the use of facilities because of:

  • Race
  • Color
  • National origin
  • Ancestry
  • Religion
  • Sex
  • Disability

Your rights to Public Accommodations protects your choice of access and includes most:

  • Goods
  • Services
  • Facilities
  • Accommodations

It is also unlawful to:

  • Threaten,
  • Intimidate, or
  • Interfere with

an individual's right to public accommodations.

What can the Albuquerque Human Rights Office (AHRO) do for me?

If you feel you have been discriminated against, report a complaint on-line or call the AHRO at (505) 924-3380.
