City Councilor Michael Cadigan said "Water conservation is easier to accomplish, both financially and practically, in the design and construction of new buildings than it is through the retrofitting of existing buildings. That is why new construction should therefore be held to a higher conservation standard."

On Friday, November 30, 2007 a televised Tax Increment Development District (TIDD) debate aired on KNME’s Channel 5, "In Focus/The Line”. The next televised event on KNME Channel 5 occurs on the following date:
Debate Continues Concerning TIDDs
Turn in to KOB's (Channel 4) Eye on New Mexico. Councilor Cadigan will debate Commissioner Cummins on the issues of TIDDs. The show will air on Sunday, Dec. 16th at 10am on Channel 4.
Small Business Assistance Center Bill
Councilor Cadigan wants to establish a small business assistance center for City of Albuquerque. The center will provide free access to a wide variety of resources and information. Guidance on working with the City of Albuquerque would be made available too.
Call for Fuel Reduction Plans
Councilor Cadigan proposes a bill that responds to increasing gas prices and the City of Albuquerque's operating costs. If the bill passes, each City division director will develop a gasoline reduction plan to be presented at the August 4th Council meeting.
