Purpose:

The BC Conference
has established itself as one of the premiere gatherings on biometrics.
The Biometric Consortium conferences provide a forum to discuss
recent technology advances, new initiatives, as well as biometric
business models and market strategies. This conference will address
the latest trends in biometrics research, development and application
on biometric technologies as well as the utilization of biometrics
in many
important government programs and commercial applications.

solutions for Homeland Security (airport security, travel documents,
visas, border control, prevention of ID theft) Other applications
of biometrics (e.g. large-scale enterprise network authentication
environments). Biometric interoperability and performance. It
will include ongoing national and international standards development
effortsand adoption of biometric standards, research and evaluation
of biometric technologies, user requirements, and technological
issues and challenges to meet these requirements. Other topic
areas will include biometrics privacy and security in government
and commercial implementations and initiatives.
