New study estimates 765 grizzly bears reside in northwest Montana
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has developed a web site that provides a wealth of data about ground water levels in Idaho and across the Nation. The USGS Ground Water Network includes water-level measurements from 871 wells throughout Idaho. Real-time data is available from 4 sites. Data from 3 network sites are included in the USGS Idaho Climate Response Network to monitor the effects of droughts and other climate variables on ground-water levels. Color-coded maps and charts provide visual comparisons of current and historical ground-water levels.
The national ground water network is available at http://groundwaterwatch.usgs.gov/StateMaps/ID.html. To access network data for Idaho, visit http://id.water.usgs.gov/groundwater/gw_data.html.
