U.S. Labor Department and Diamond Triumph Auto Glass Form Business Partnership
Three Kentucky Locations To Assist In Recruiting and Hiring Workers

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Department of Labor has announced a partnership with Diamond Triumph Auto Glass to assist in recruiting and hiring automotive glass installers and other personnel. The partnership is a result of the Employment and Training Administration's Partnerships for Jobs initiative.
Diamond Triumph locations in Louisville, Lexington and Florence, Ky., will participate in the partnership.
"The Partnerships for Jobs initiative was created to build bridges between businesses and job seekers in local communities," said Assistant Secretary for Employment and Training Emily Stover DeRocco. "These business partnerships link large, national employers with local One-Stop Career Centers, demonstrating how a demand-driven workforce system can more efficiently serve the workforce needs of business, while also effectively helping workers find good jobs at good wages."
After successful recruitment efforts in partnership with the Kingston, Pa., One-Stop Career Center, Diamond Triumph Auto Glass is seeking to expand its relationship with other local One-Stops to screen and recruit candidates for the company's in-house training program.

As part of the partnership announcement, Diamond Triumph kicked off a week-long rollout, July 28 - August 1. One-Stop Center representatives toured local company offices and exchanged information with branch managers about company openings and benefits, and the business services offered by the public workforce system. In addition to Kentucky, the resulting partnership will coordinate recruitment and hiring efforts in five states: Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio.
