1. How will my role change with the tool?
The Budget Formulation system is a tool that will assist you in your current role rather than change your role.

2. Can another center change my data? Can a lead center change a support
center?
A security profile will be established for each user. A person's security profile governs a user's access to view and modify data for particular Centers, Project Definitions, and Service Pools within the context of their assigned roles. If there is a need for a user to modify data at a different center, the necessary security profile can be established for the user. For example, a lead Center and a support center can have access to the same project, given that the user has a data-access authorization approved by each Center.

3. How do you know it's secure?
The Budget Formulation systems conform to NASA's Policy and Procedures for Security and are also audited for compliance.

4. When will SEM be installed on my computer?
Your center's IT Point of Contact will ensure that all appropriate software is distributed to end user desktops starting on 09/02/03 and will be completed by 09/12/03.

5. Will people be changing my data?
There are both management and system controls for data access and modification. System controls can be set to limit users' access to a Service Pool or three-digit WBS. This low level of control limits user/management flexibility. Controlling access at the Center level provides more flexibility with more reliance on management policy to control data access and modification.
