Workshop on Assessment of Mercury Cycling Awareness in the Environment

The USGS Toxic Substanstances Hydrology program co-sponsored a workshop conducted by U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on the Fate, Transport, and Transformation of Mercury in Aquatic and Terrestrial Environments. The workshop was held May 8-10, 2001, in West Palm Beach, Florida. Approximately 400 participants included national and international leaders involved in various aspects of environmental mercury research. The purpose of the workshop was to bring experts together from around the world to assess the status of our understanding of mercury cycling in the environment. The Workshop Proceedings is now available.
