Cross-Hole Flowmeter Field Demonstration

The hydraulic-testing method demonstrated at the workshop involveed the analysis of flowmeter data collected at selected depths in observation wells.

USGS scientists conducted a field demonstration of cross-borehole flow tests and presented a workshop at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Research Service (ARS) site in central Pennsylvania on May 3-4, 2005. The hydraulic-testing method demonstrated at the workshop involveed the analysis of flowmeter data collected at selected depths in observation wells. The workshop included hands-on computer analysis of the flowmeter data collected during the demonstration. The USDA ARS site's research well array was drilled as part of the USGS's Bedrock Regional Aquifer Systematics Study (BRASS) program.
