MTBE and Other Fuel Oxygenates: Considerations for Assessments and Remediation

U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) scientist Dr. James E. Landmeyer was an instructor at "MTBE and Other Fuel Oxygenates: Considerations for Assessments and Remediation," Westford, Massachusetts, November 2-3, 2006, a training course sponsored by the New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission (NEIWPCC) and the American Petroleum Institute (API) in association with the Interstate Technology and Regulatory Council (ITRC). Dr. Landmeyer presented information on the biodegradation of MTBE and other fuel oxygenates that featured research he and other USGS scientists have conducted at several field sites including the USGS Toxic Substances Hydrology Program's Laurel Bay Research Site, South Carolina.
