Sept. 15-16, 9 a.m. - Members of the local and university communities will participate in a free public reading of the enitire Iliad on the lawn outside the Singletary Center for the Arts. This event will be in English, and is open to the public. In the event of rain, it will be held in the President's Room in the Singletary Center. Sept. 17, noon - Judge Denise Clayton discusses the continued work of the Racial Fairness Commission, created in 2001 to review racial fairness in Jefferson County courts. Clayton is the first African American woman appointed to the Kentucky Court of Appeals and was also the first to serve as a Kentucky Circuit Court Judge. Sponsored by UK Libraries and College of Law.
