Abstract: The altitude of the top of the confining unit ranges from 10 ft above sea level to 50 ft below sea level in much of the study area, and this surface slopes downward to the east and to the southeast. The areas of lowest altitude of the top of the confining unit are in eastern Palm Beach and Broward Counties and in eastern and south-central Dade County where the altitude ranges from 50 to 108 ft below sea level. These areas adjoin and are close to the eastern limit of the gray limestone aquifer.
