Geographical Mobility: 2005 — Americans are a transient lot. These tabulations contain national and regional information on how often and how far people move, along with characteristics of the movers and reasons why they move. (Tentatively scheduled for release mid-June.)

2004 County Business Patterns — This report covers small business growth, average employee wages and geographic concentration of industries across the nation. The data — published annually since 1964 and at irregular intervals back to 1946 — are provided at various geographic levels, including state, county and metropolitan statistical area. (Tentatively scheduled for release mid-June.)

Facts for Features

Back to School — Although most students have yet to begin their summer vacation, the Census Bureau is already looking ahead to the close of the traditional summer break. This factsheet presents statistics from the Census Bureau’s demographic and economic subject areas pertaining to teachers, students and the reopening of our country’s schools. (Tentatively scheduled for release late-June.)
