APTA has established the Emergency Response and Preparedness Program (ERPP), in response to the catastrophic events of the past hurricane seasons and as a tool to connect, assist properties in the event of a future catastrophe. This program is designed to assist fellow transit systems, their cities, regions, and states with emergency evacuation and temporary transit needs that may arise from hurricanes or other emergencies. The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has partnered with APTA in this program and in support of the development and administration of this service.
Major and minor disasters can strike anywhere, at anytime. Please take the first step towards helping yourself and your colleagues within the industry who may need assistance during a time of emergency.
