How To Use The Website

If you were in the 2001 RFS.....

This website provides information about the 2001 Residential Finance Survey (RFS). It describes how the survey was conducted, your legal requirement to report, your guarantee of confidentiality and more.

You can use this information for the RFS to learn what data were in the survey. We are also providing a contact point here at the Census Bureau. Give us a call at (301)763-3199 between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm EST or email Howard Savage any time you need information about the 2001 RFS.

You can also review the forms used in the survey by visiting this website. The sample forms are stored in the Portable Document Format (PDF). In order to view these files, you will need the Adobe® Acrobat® Reader which is available for free from the Adobe web site. You can view the questionnaires right on your computer screen or print them on your own printer. The web page provides detailed instructions for obtaining and installing reader software, and downloading census forms.

This website provides you with general information about the RFS, including an overview of the survey, copies of the questionnaires used in the survey, and the legal authority for the survey. You can also follow the planning for the survey by viewing the minutes of meetings held with the RFS Working Group, a group of Federal agencies and non-Federal organizations that provided advice on survey content and products from the survey. Finally, you can track the progress of all RFS activities by checking the reports posted in the activity schedule section of this website.
