Studio Facilities

Television Studio
The Broadcast Media and Technology Center has a multi-set television studio (35 ft. x 38 ft.) with blue screen, control room and AVOC fiber to satellite uplink capability.

The studio is available for on camera live media tours and interviews with USDA and other Federal Department officials to broadcasters via satellite uplink. It is also available for video conferencing and production of training and outreach videos with direct connections to Jefferson Auditorium, Media Briefing Room, Williamsburg Room, and the Whitten Building Patio.

Compressed Video Services
Compressed Video Services ISDN or VOIP offer video meetings. The system features large screen viewing of the remote site and seating for 50 participants. Your meeting can also be made into a webcast for on- demand viewing.

Radio Studio
The Broadcast Media and Technology Center has a fully digital radio studio and control room with full production capabilities. This includes ISDN dial in for live call in and Q&A as well as a digital storage system for news content and radio automation. Radio producer/reporters use the DigaSystem which provides automation services for radio broadcasting such as exchange, production and management of content, delivery methods, and Web access for radio automation. The studio is available for radio press briefings, media tours and interviews with USDA and other Federal Department officials with direct connection
