Career Fair Tips

The USGS actively recruits new employees at career fairs and other job events around the country. Career fairs are a great opportunity for you to meet representatives from several organizations at a single event. These tips are intended to help you land a job you'll enjoy with other organizations or us.

• Research the employers scheduled to attend the career fair and plan to visit those that are looking for people with your skills.
• Plan to bring your resume to give out to the employers that interest you.
• Attend career fairs periodically to gain experience with interviews and to keep current with opportunities in your field.
