Division of Intramural Research Programs - What’s New What's New? Dr. Insel Announces New Intramural Scientific Director Richard Nakamura has been selected as the next NIMH Scientific Director. This selection follows a national search by a committee chaired by Dr. Jim Battey (Director, NIDCD) and comprised of scientists from the intramural NIMH, other intramural programs, and several extramural universities. Richard will continue to serve as both Deputy Director and Acting Scientific Director until Sept 28, 2008 when he will move full-time to his new post in the Intramural Program. The NIH Advisory Council to the Director has accepted the Blue Ribbon Panel’s evaluation of the NIMH IRP. (in pdf form 242 kb) The IRP Website has been redesigned.
