Situation   Action
  • Ft. Lauderdale, FL: Abdelaziz Bilal Hamze, 24, drags Sandra Hall, 44, to her death with his minivan
  • The victim tries to prevent him from leaving the scene of a hit & run; he runs her over, drags her for two miles - killing her around 10 PM on Jun 3, 2007
  • Family members chase, beg HAMZE to stop; he weaves across lanes at 70 mph to shake her off

  • Jun 4, 2007: Broward County Sheriff’s office contacts ICE agents in Ft. Lauderdale regarding HAMZE - believing he may attempt to depart U.S.
  • ICE works with CBP to query suspect; HAMZE purchases ticket for Greece soon after the murder
  • Within minutes, CBP identifies HAMZE is minutes away from flight to Greece - ultimately to Lebanon
