Albuquerque's Balloon Fiesta Park is home to the spectacular annual Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta Leaving www.cabq.gov, click for disclaimer (505) 821-1000, Anderson - Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum (505) 761-4005, and the Golf Training Facility.

Access

Primary southern vehicular access to the park is from Alameda Blvd NE and Balloon Museum Drive. North vehicular access is from I-25 Frontage Road and Balloon Fiesta Parkway .

The park is located east of the Alameda-North Valley Neighborhoods, west of Wildflower Park and various industrial plants (e.g. Citibank, SUMCO, Honeywell, etc.). Other major landmarks in the park are the reclaimed Los Angeles Landfill and the Nazareth Landfill.

Year Round Activities

Most known for the annual Balloon Fiesta event, 94 acres of the park are developed and provides year round activities:

•  The golf training facility: 32 acre driving range and 9-hole chip and putt course.

•  Gardunos on the Green (505) 797-9222 is a full service restaurant and banquet facility. The restaurant is open from 11 AM to 10 PM .

  • Certified runs and walks
  • Northern Launch Field, a joint use balloon launch field and 23 game fields (watered with City reuse water). This area is used daily for various activities (i.e. ballooning, field sport practice, walking and model aircraft usage, gas powered planes are not permitted). The Northern Launch field is controlled access and access keys are available for $20/ key/ year. For more Information concerning use of the field or obtaining an automated card key call (505) 768-5300 or 311. When the Northern Launch Field is open, access to the field is from the north (I-25 to Southbound Frontage Road to Balloon Fiesta Parkway).

Reserving Balloon Fiesta Park

The Balloon Fiesta Park provides a wonderful, spacious facility for large events. Much of the park has excellent access to utilities and parking is plentiful. Informal use of the park is free, though we appreciate your notice to ensure no other events are scheduled for the day you plan on visiting the park. To aid in reserving the park, please review the following information and call (505) 768-5300 or 311.

There is a non-refundable application fee for reserving the park (except for informal use of the park or field sport practice). The application for reserving the park for events must be received at least 45 days before your event (30 days for small events). Some events require additional review and approval by other City departments or the Balloon Fiesta Park Operations and Management Policy Board. We can schedule an appointment with the City Community Event Committee and the Balloon Fiesta Park Operations and Management Policy Board.

Use of the park is restricted from August until November each year because of the annual Balloon Fiesta. Proposed events during this time are reviewed on a case-by case basis.
