Washington, D.C. -- Hear OPM Director Janice Lachances latest comments on the first federal child care summit.
Lachance, the Director of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, has launched a bilingual radio actuality hot line to inform the public and the media about the latest news.
On May 12-14, OPM is hosting the first-ever federal child care summit in Kansas City, Missouri. The summit brings together experts and professionals from the private and public sector to provide solutions for quality, affordable child care.
Quality and affordable child care is an essential component of a family-friendly workplace, said Lachance. This Administration is committed to ensuring that every working parent has access to that essential care.
OPM is also running the 1999 Federal Employees Group Life Insurance Open Season. This is the chance for federal employees to reassess their life insurance coverage.
The hot line also provides news in Spanish for Spanish media and Spanish speaking constituents.
Lachance is available for interviews by contacting Ivonne Cuñarro, 202-606-2402.
