Washington, D.C. -- Diversity is the topic U.S. Office of Personnel Management Director Janice R. Lachance will address in her keynote speech at the Federal Asian Pacific American Council (FAPAC) Congressional Luncheon on May 18 at 12 noon. The Luncheon will be held at the Senate Hart Building, Room 902, on Capitol Hill.
OPM is committed to ensuring that everyone has a chance to succeed, said Lachance. It is vital that we find ways to include qualified employees from all parts of our society in the federal workforce.
The speech will be given as part of the 1999 FAPAC Congressional Seminar, National Leadership Training Conference, and Job Fair/Exhibits that will be held during the week of May 17 - 21. The theme of the event is Celebrating Our Legacy.
In addition to addressing the need for diversity, Lachance will add that OPM is constantly updating its resources to help federal agencies diversify their workforce.
