NATIONAL PARTNERSHIP COUNCIL
HAS HOLIDAY MESSAGE FOR TAXPAYERS:
ALABOR-MANAGEMENT PARTNERSHIPS WILL DELIVER ON SERVICE@

Washington, D.C. -- It=s December, and in the spirit of the holiday season, the Clinton Administration plans to deliver better customer service to all Americans who want and deserve a more efficient government.

Hoping to make every day feel like this season of goodwill, the Administration=s National Partnership Council will consider a strategic plan to spread the cheer and good tidings now enjoyed by many federal labor and management groups, and give even more federal employees the chance to work with increased efficiency.

In addition to the adoption of the 1997 strategic action plan and Council=s calendar of events, this week=s meeting agenda includes consideration for approval of the 1996 AReport to the President on Progress in Labor-Management Partnerships.@ The strategic plan, in part, proposes to include the input of agencies not on the partnership council.

The NPC meeting convenes on:

Wednesday, December 11, 1996 (1 p.m.)
U.S. Office of Personnel Management
Theodore Roosevelt Federal Building, Room 1350
1900 E St., NW
Washington, D.C.

The NPC has been charged by President Bill Clinton to help implement labor-management partnerships in the Executive Branch. The Council is comprised of federal cabinet and agency officials, the presidents of federal employee unions, and representatives from the Senior Executives Association and the Federal Managers Association.

Media interested in attending the NPC meeting are asked to contact OPM=s Mike Orenstein at 202-606-1800.
