OPM Meets its Strategic and Operational Plan Goals for July
Washington, DC - Continuing to successfully meet its strategic goals, as outlined in its Strategic and Operational Plan, the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) announced the agency has met those established for the month of July.
"OPM's employees do excellent work every day...they go above and beyond what is expected of them," said OPM Director Linda M. Springer. "What I am most proud of is when OPM sets a goal, it achieves it in a timely manner."
An important Strategic and Operational Plan goal met for July was the building and testing of the Retirement Systems Modernization (RSM) program components in support of the February 2008 go-live objective and developing licensed technology for GSA active employees.
Other July Plan goals met included:
- Developing a business case in the Center for Leadership Capacity Services (CLCS) for Candidate Development Program (CDP)/Succession planning;
- Developing standard operating procedures for the Office of General Counsel;
- Issuing a Request for Information (RFI) for a new accounting system; and
- Meeting the Office of Management and Budget's data encryption requirements for protecting sensitive agency information and establishing the policies, procedures, and infrastructures to encrypt data on OPM laptop computers.
