1995-1996 CBP



The master catalog on the 1995-1996 County Business Patterns CD-ROM
cites 1994 and 1995 data rather than 1995 and 1996 data.  For most purposes an
acceptable workaround is to call EXTRACT with the command line
          EXTRACT c d:\auxil c:\extract\work mstr95_6.ctg
where d: is your CD-ROM drive letter.  That solution, however, fails to
accommodate all 9 digits in the U.S. total employment (102198864) on the first
line of the CBP96US file.

To install a more complete solution...
 1. download CBPAUX96.EXE

 2. make C:\EXTRACT the default, and create a CBPAUXIL subdirectory

    MD CBPAUXIL, if you do not already have one

 3. make C:\EXTRACT\CBPAUXIL the default

 4. run CBPAUX96 -n as a program to uncompress its contents.

 5. If you wish, create a EXCBP96.bat in your \EXTRACT directory with the

    following contents (assuming your CD drive is D:):



    SET CLIPPER=E000;V006

    EXTRACT c d: c:\extract\cbpauxil C:\EXTRACT\WORK mstr95_6.ctg

    pause

    exmenu



    and add the following line to your EXMENU.BAT
