Abstract: Population and data user attributes which should be considered in determining the most proper statistical suppression techniques will be outlined. A general overview of methods used by the National Agricultural Statistics Service and the Agricultural Marketing Service to protect tabular data will be presented. Certain methods will be highlighted and explored in more detail.
