State of South Carolina Program Summary

Box 1288 921 Ribaut Road Beaufort, SC 29901-1288 The State of South Carolina provides mine health and safety training for the miners, mine operators and contract employees working at mining locations through the Division of Continuing Education and Workforce Development of the Technical College of the Lowcountry. Classes are offered at the college or delivered on mine sites or in regional locations to better accommodate mining industry employees. Courses are presented in:
Many of these classes are integrated in to the 30 CFR parts 46 and 48 Annual Refresher and New Miner training but can also be delivered separately in more detail. Most training is presented on the campus of the Technical College of the Lowcountry but on-site mine specific training programs are also conducted throughout the state.
