State of Connecticut Program Summary
Dr. Stuart Bennett, Project Director Central Connecticut State University Department of Manufacturing and Construction Management School of Technology 1615 Stanley Street New Britain, CT 06053 The Connecticut program, through the Central Connecticut State University, educates, trains, and retrains miners employed in the public and private sectors in the State in order to reduce injuries and occupational illnesses, and eliminate fatalities. It assists mine operators in developing safety and health programs, and is a training material resource. Topics for instruction are based upon Connecticut and National injury/illness statistics and MSHA targeted areas. The priority topics for 30 CFR Parts 46 and 48 are:
