Tree Order Deadline Approaches

Since 2002, Nebraska’s  NRDs have offered seedling trees for sale in bulk amounts for windbreaks and wildlife habitat.  In that time, residents of the Lower Platte South NRD have ordered 235,000 trees through our Conservation Forestry program and NRD orders statewide annually top 1-million.  By combining orders the NRDs, which are all non-profit, are able to offer the seedlings at a minimal price.  Conifer, hardwood and shrub seedlings for planting within the Lower Platte South NRD next spring are $0.70 each.  The minimum order is 100 and species must be ordered in increments of 25.  Many varieties are offered.

Order Deadline is January 28, 2009!
