Agents searched Walter's residence and found evidence that he distributed over 6,000 devices.
2. Thomas Emerick $70,000.00 47 USC § 605(e)(4) Primarily a hardware distributor, Thomas Emerick distributed hardware devices that circumvented the conditional access technologies of DirecTV and DISH Network, and reprogrammed access cards for select clients.
3. Joseph Bolosky $245,472.00 47 USC § 605(e)(4) Primarily a hardware manufacturer, defendant Bolosky designed and manufactured devices that circumvented the conditional access technologies of DirecTV and DISH Network.
4. Jason Hughes $50,000.00 (the price for which Hughes sold his software code). 17 USC § 1201(a)(2) Primarily a software code writer, defendant Hughes wrote software code and sold the code to others, including Canadians, which circumvented the conditional access technologies of DirecTV.
5. Gary Bumgardner $68,732.16 47 USC § 605(e)(4) Defendant Bumgardner would obtain and distribute hacked access cards that could be used with other devices to circumvent the conditional access technologies of DirecTV and DISH Network.
