Cold Neutron Chopper Spectrometer - Schedule

Current beam status at the SNS

The Cold Neutron Chopper Spectrometer (CNCS) is currently in commissioning.

Major construction was completed in March of 2008.

CNCS successfully completed the SNS Instrument Readiness Review in March of 2008.

The CNCS Primary Shutter was open for the first time on April 2, 2008.

Commissioning began in April, 2008.

First users are expected in early 2009
