Notes on Abstract Searching
On the search form there are five fields:
Title - type the title of the article or any words from the title
Author - usually the author's last name only
Affiliation - the author's affiliated university, program, agency, etc.
Year - the year the article was published
Keywords - from the abstract
Each field allows substring searching. Any field may be left blank and will not be considered in the search criteria. For example, to search for abstracts by Dr. Gary Hook you would type "Hook" (no quote marks) into the Author field and click the Search button. If you wanted a narrower search you could also specify other criteria such as "Arylhydrocarbon hydroxylase activity" in the Keywords field.
