General Questions :


What is a "multimedia repository"?

A collection of digitized images, photos, movies, videos, etc.
This collection documents NACA and NASA research performed at Langley Research Center.

What kinds of multimedia are available?

Currently two kinds of multimedia assets are available:
  1. Images/Photos
  2. Movies/Videos/Animations

What formats and resolutions are available?

All images/photos are in JPEG format with up to four possible resolutions: The medium and large resolution images are usually available except in cases where the original digitized image did not have sufficient resolution (e.g. image created on a low-end digital camera).

The movies/videos are in Apple's QuickTime® format. The resoltuions range from 120x90 up to 320x240 with frame rates up to 15fps.

Where are pictures/movies/etc. of ... ?

The multimedia asset that you are looking for may be available from some other NASA Center try NIX (NASA Image eXchange) to search all of the other NASA Centers
