The United States Parole Commission (USPC) considers parole applications from federal offenders who committed crimes before November 1, 1987, as well as District of Columbia offenders. USPC also makes determinations for supervised release conditions and revocations of release. In each case, USPC strives to apply the sanction that is consistent with public safety and the appropriate punishment of the offense.
