Superheroes Carry Prevention Message
Superheroes are helping SAMHSA, the Elks, and Marvel Entertainment encourage young people to avoid drugs and alcohol.
The TSTS program is a SAMHSA initiative to help prevent underage alcohol use.
The program's Web site provides information for parents and caregivers, and their 9- to 13-year-old children.
SAMHSA's partners in this effort include Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA), National Association of State Alcohol and Drug Abuse Directors/National Prevention Network (NASADAD/NPN), and Mothers Against Drunk
Driving (MADD).
On the TSTS site, you'll find advice from teen columnists, crossword puzzles and memory games about the effects of alcohol, and links to other Web sites about youth and prevention of alcohol use.
Hard Choices includes information on SAMHSA’s Too Smart To Start (TSTS) program.
For more on TSTS, visit www.toosmarttostart.samhsa.gov.
