Important Tips for Signing up or Signing Off the List

- If you are using Microsoft Outlook or another program that allows formatted e-mail messages, make sure you send this message as a "plain text" message. If you can change the font, make the text bold or italic, etc., your message is not plain text.
- Make sure that the "subscribe NWHIC_NEWS" or "signoff NWHIC_NEWS" command is the ONLY thing in the body of your message. DO NOT INCLUDE ANY OTHER TEXT. If your e-mail program automatically inserts any other text into the message, such as a "signature" file, you must delete the extra text before you send the message.
- Be sure that you have used an underscore (not a dash) in the "NWHIC_NEWS" part of the command line.
- If you are signing up for the list, Include only your first and last name in the command line. Do not include a middle name or initial, or any titles (Ms., Dr., Ph.D., Jr., etc.). You do not have to give your name.
- Make sure that you send this message from the e-mail account at which you want to receive the newsletter, or from the account at which you want to stop receiving the newsletter.
