How to Prepare a Request for Door Signs

The Office of Organization and Management Support (OOMS) coordinates with the Department’s Office of Administrative Operations in processing requests for ITA door signs.  Department policy permits door signs for division directors and above.  Other requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.  The printing cost for each sign is $25 and is paid by the requesting office.

 Submit an SF-1 with the following information:

1.  Exact text for the new door sign (unit/office/job title/name)

2 Exact text of the old door sign that is to be replaced

3.  Room number where door sign is to be posted

4.  Appropriation code to be billed

5.  Person to contact for additional information, if needed

6.  Size of door sign (either 6 x 9 or 9 x 9)

7.  Deliver the completed & signed SF-1 to Room 4001

OOMS will review the request to assure accuracy of job title and format as stated in ITA’s Organization and Function Order 41-1, and deliver the request to the Graphics Division for processing.  New door signs should be posted within approximately 2-3 weeks.
