ITA Secretariat's WebCIMS

The ITA Secretariat recently upgraded its electronic correspondence tracking system, WebCIMS. If you are currently a WebCIMS user and need assistance with the upgraded version or need to change your password, contact the Secretariat staff as soon as possible. If it is determined that you no longer need to be a user, the Secretariat should also be notified. The staff can be reached by phone at ext. 2-5101 or by e-mail. If you are the principal user for receiving correspondence assignments for your program unit and you will be on leave, please designate an alternate user to check for the assignments from the Secretariat on a daily basis.

Analog Line Cut-Off Complete

The Department has suspended all unaccounted for analog phone lines (analog lines include fax lines, data switches, modems, some conference room phones, and STU phones).  The Department and ITA attempted, in advance, to ensure that only unused lines were cut off; however, if service to one of your analog phone lines was terminated and shouldn't have been, email TelephoneServices@ita.doc.gov immediately.  Because all phone lines are suspended first before being disconnected, they can be immediately reactivated.  Beginning October 17, the Department will begin disconnecting any remaining suspended lines.  If you have any questions, contact Jeff Scherr at 202-482-3266.

FY 2004 Budget

The end of the fiscal year occurred on September 30, 2004, and the Office of Financial Management (OFM) has worked with the program areas to close the FY2004 accounts and activities.  In late September, the House and Senate passed a Continuing Resolution (CR) to cover the period October 1, 2004 through November 20, 2004.  The CR will allow ITA to continue to operate at a conservative spending rate during that time period.  If there are any questions, contact Amy Duncan at 202-482-5739.

Traveler's Corner

Question:  Can a traveler be reimbursed for collision damage waiver (cdw) or theft insurance when renting a vehicle while on official travel within CONUS (the continental U.S.)?
Answer:  A traveler will not be reimbursed for collision damage waiver (CDW) or theft insurance for travel within CONUS.  If you have questions, call your travel contact or Sharon Russell at  202-482-3267.
Where Do I Find....ITA Government Performance Results Act (GPRA) Documents?

The GPRA is the statutory basis for implementing performance management in the Federal Government. GPRA requires government agencies to produce strategic plans, plans integrated in the Budget ( the Annual Performance Plan) and to report on past performance through an annual Performance Accountability Report.  You can find information about the ITA GPRA Documents, (i.e., Strategic Plan, Annual Performance Plan and Performance Accountability Report) at the links 202-482-5204.
