New Copier Maintenance Service/Supply Contract The Office of Organization and Management Support (OOMS) has contracted with Cartridge Technologies, Incorporated (CTI), a small woman-owned business, to provide an on-site service technician, repair services and supplies and to ensure better reporting of copier use. You should no longer obtain services from DANKA. This contract will cover all copiers in ITA-headquarters with the exception of Xerox and Oce copiers. For ITA offices that have either Xerox or Oce, you must continue to be serviced by their respective manufacturers, Xerox Capital Services and Oce USA, Inc. For service or supplies under this new contract, call the CTI service number at (301)417-7202, fax (301-417-7204 or email, service@ctimd.com or supplies@ctimd.com. For services to Xerox or Oce copiers, call 1-800-822-2797 or 1-800-627-1113, respectively. If you have questions, contact Robin Carpenter at (202)482-4989 or via email, Robin_Carpenter@ita.doc.gov. A-Priority Controlled Correspondence What is A-Priority controlled correspondence? The Department's Executive Secretariat transmits correspondence to the ITA Secretariat for the preparation of responses for the signature of the Secretary or Deputy Secretary. This type of correspondence is assigned a "C" control number (e.g., 04-000500-C). The ITA Secretariat assigns the correspondence to the appropriate ITA unit for preparation of a draft response. The draft responses must be submitted to the ITA Secretariat for review and final preparation before they are transmitted to the Deputy Under Secretary's office and to the Executive Secretariat. If you have any questions regarding procedures involving A-Priority correspondence, contact the ITA Secretariat at (202)482-5101or e-mail ITASEC@ita.doc.gov; or the website at www.ita.doc.gov/ita_sec/. Leave and Earnings StatementsEmployees are responsible for reviewing their biweekly Leave and Earnings Statement (LES). Report errors, corrections, omissions, and discrepancies to your servicing payroll/personnel office. The LES contains vital information regarding your salary and leave record, and if reviewed timely you may be able to avoid potential pay and leave problems. Careful review of the LES is imperative when employees make changes during various open seasons ( i.e., Combined Federal Campaign, Federal Employees Health Benefits Program, Thrift Savings Plan, U. S. Savings Bonds Campaign, etc.), and when making routine changes in Federal and state tax and other voluntary withholdings. If you have questions, contact Lorese Green at (202) 482-5232. The CFO/Administration Communications Working Group would like to thank the MAC employees who attended a focus group session for their suggestions to include additional forms on OurPlace. As a result, the following forms are now accessible from the E-Forms menu in OurPlace:

FY 2005 House Appropriation Hearings
The Secretary was well
prepared for the FY 2005 House & Senate Appropriations hearings on
February 26, 2004 and March 2, 2004. Many of the questions focused on
the economy, jobs and manufacturing. The Questions & Answers included in the Secretary's
briefing book were emailed to all Resource Coordinators. We appreciate the time and
effort the program staff put into developing such excellent, timely
responses. If you have questions, please contact Amy Duncan at
(202)482-5739. Where do I find....information on how to purchase a copier? Offices interested in purchasing a new copier should access the following website address: http://www.ita.doc.gov/ooms/ooms30.htm. The site provides information on how to purchase a dedicated copier.
